About Me.

Ashleigh Fleenor is a self-taught abstract artist whose work captures the raw essence of emotion in motion. From a young age, she was drawn to creative expression, but it was through personal loss that painting became her sanctuary. In the wake of her father’s passing, art became a way to process grief, gratitude, and healing—expressing what words could not.

Art That Speaks

Her process is deeply intuitive. Each piece begins without a plan, guided instead by feeling and spontaneity. Using acrylic paint and water in various forms—sprays, droplets, pours—she layers color and texture until the emotion feels fully realized on canvas. The result is work that is both deeply personal and universally resonant.

Ashleigh’s art invites reflection and connection. It speaks to the shared human experience of love, loss, and transformation. As she shares:

“I would like to create art that can fit into everyone’s life, and promote art therapy as a tool for the grieving. One thing we all have in common is that we will all have to face the feeling of losing someone we love. It would be such a beautiful world if we could turn the feeling of loss into a piece of art.”
